The mission of the Rehabilitation Services Department of Huggins Hospital is to provide a comprehensive interdisciplinary team approach to the treatment and education of each patient. The department staff strives to provide quality, compassionate and holistic treatment to all patients.
From physical and occupational therapy to pain management and women's issues, Huggins Hospital offers a full range of rehabilitation services for both adults and children, including inpatient care and outpatient therapy.
Depending upon the diagnosis, each patient receives care from a team of rehabilitation experts who work closely and in collaboration with physicians. Our team works with each patient as well as with their families to maximize their functional status and enable them to attain the highest quality of life.
We offer rehabilitation services to improve the health status of you, your friends, and family at Huggins Hospital as well as Back Bay Rehabilitation in Wolfeboro, Alton and Tamworth.

Referral and Contact information:
Patients in need of services must be referred by their physician for all therapies, (note: a referral is not necessary for Massage Therapy). Many managed care insurance carriers require a written referral/authorization form from the patient’s primary care physician and/or insurance carrier prior to the start of therapy.
